How To Put Videos On Psp In 4 straightforward Steps

Sony's wee wonder machine is a real jack of all trades in the electronic entertainment field-there honestly isn't too much that it can't do but I've noticed that out of all my friends that have Psp's, not one man uses it for movies! I found this a wee odd, until I realised that none of them know how to do it! It's not as hard as citizen seem to think so hopefully once you've read this record you'll know how to put videos on Psp, and I can get my friends to look at this record instead of request me questions all the time!

The first thing that stops most citizen from finding out how to put videos on Psp is they don't have sufficient free memory-You are going to need to buy as big a memory stick as you can afford-512mb is going to be the bare minimum here.

PSP

The second critical is to have a computer handy which you can link to the Psp via a Usb cable. An internet relationship will be beneficial too, but is not critical unless there are things you need to download.

1-Connect the computer and the Psp together, manufacture sure that the Psp is switched off to begin with, and switch the Psp on once the relationship is made.

2-With the Psp go into the Settings menu, and press X, which should link the Psp to the computer. If you then go into My Computer on the computer, you should see an extra volume has been attached. This is the Psp/Playstation Portable.

3-Open the Psp memory card and then open the briefcase called Psp. With this open you need to generate another briefcase inside that one, this one called "Mp_Root" and then another one called "100mnv01"

4-Save the movies you want to watch in the briefcase "100mnv01" and then you are ready to rock! The movies can be started by clicking on the saved image inside the memory card. One thing to note though is that the movies need to be in Mp4 format (Google it), and if you want to turn your existing Dvds etc to this format you may want to get some specialized software.

Okay there we are, how to put videos on Psp in 4 easy steps!

How Do You Put Videos on Your Psp - Putting Videos on a Psp Made Easy!

If you want to put some of your beloved Dvd's or Videos onto your Psp but cannot get your head around the procedure then you're in the right place. For anything wondering How Do You Put Videos On your Psp should be glad to know that I will run through the whole process below. So you can start putting videos on a Psp today in a matter of minutes...

First of all you will be storing your videos on a memory card and since Dvd's and downloaded videos off the net can be quite large I propose using a pretty big memory card (preferably 2Gb if you want to store a few movies). Once you have the memory card you will need to set it up to be able to store videos, it is a very easy process and all you need to do is originate a few new folders. Visit the link below to learn how to do this...

PSP

After your memory card is set for movie playback you can begin dragging video files onto it through your computer, any way before any of the movies work on your Psp the will need to be in the literal, format. The video format for the Psp is Mpeg-4 or Mp4 and any videos you put on it will need to be in Mp4 for them to work properly.

There is a common 3-step conversion process you can use for converting Dvd's, but is quite involved and a rather lengthy procedure which I would only propose for advanced users. It requires using a series of separate programs (some of which are free others cost a fair bit) and performing involved conversion processes which are only powerful for full computer geeks.

I would have to say the easiest way to convert Dvd's and all other types of Videos into Psp video format would be to download a legitimate Psp Video Converter. Most converters are free to download and they are able to convert approximately any type of video file into Mpeg-4, so you can start to put videos on your Psp in a matter of minutes.

Once you have the videos converted into Mpeg-4 then all you gotta do is upload them onto your memory card into the specified folders and you're ready to rock!

So if anything needed to know "how do you put videos on your Psp" then the steps are quite clear. Grab a decent memory card, set it up for movie playback, grab a Psp video converter to convert the videos, and then upload them onto your memory card to begin watching. Personally I use a program called Cucusoft Psp Converter suite for Putting Videos On A Psp, it converts all video types, is very easy to use and free to download, check the link below for download.

PSP

Step #1: Buy a memory stick:

In order be able to do whatever on your Psp - together with watching movies, listening to music or playing games, your system needs to have access to memory. While your system ships with a puny memory card that holds 32 Mb of data, it is only big sufficient to store a small amount of files. And, it assuredly won't be able to cope videos of more than a microscopic or so. The solution: buy your own stick. A 4 Gb stick will cost you less than .

Step #2: Format your memory stick:

You will need to first format your memory stick. Formatting is basically a way to synchronize your memory stick with your system. To format your stick:

a. Press the Home key

b. Press the Left Arrow key many times until you get to the Settings screen

c. Press the Down Arrow many times until you see system Settings, then press X

d. Press the Down Arrow many times until you see Format Memory Stick, then press X

e. Confirm your desire to format your memory stick by pressing Yes (note: doing this will erase any data that was already on your memory stick - in case you are re-using an old memory stick)

Step #3: associate the unit to your computer:

First, put your Psp into Usb mode by doing the following:

a. Press the Home key

b. Press the Left Arrow key many times until you get to the Settings screen

c. Press the Down Arrow many times until you see Usb relationship setting, then press X

Now, associate your Psp to your computer using the supplied Usb cable.

Step #4: Copy the video onto your Psp:

To be able to play the video properly, you will need to navigate to the portfolio in your memory stick called Mp_Root, then the portfolio within that portfolio called 100Mnv01. If those folders do not already exist on your memory stick, you will need to generate them. Note: any video (M4V) and thumbnail (Thm) file you place there need to be named as follows: beginning of file name must be M4V and it must end with any 5 numbers (e.g., M4V67890).

Step #5: You are ready to watch your newly-loaded video:

You're all set - now you can disconnect your console from your computer and watch your video! Just scroll down to the Video section to view the video file. Press X to watch your video.

But we are all the time wanting animals, and we have dominated the “Gaming anywhere”, now habitancy so lazy to even play the games themselves, wouldn’t it be nice to sit and watch the movies right in your hands anywhere, yes that would be cool. But Psp doesn’t allow videos of "avi" and "divx" format to be played, so sad… only we can change videos into Psp format.

The inquire which I am all the time asked from the users who are starting to understand Psp is

2. Now Rip the movie ("avi" or "divx") from your dvd to any of your drives

3. Use the 3Gp converter, and go for the option of “Mp4 for Psp” format and go for the required bit rate, frame rate settings etc to your needs, now go for the video to be converted, and also give a path for the converted video to be placed...

4. Wait time….. It takes some time to change your videos. In the meantime create folder called “Mp_Root” in your Psp drive shown. Then within the “Mp_Root” folder create a folder with the name “100Mnv01”, sorry for such a weird folder name, but Sony Psp requires you to do so…..

How Do I Put Videos on My Psp

If you own a Sony Psp then I'm sure you're aware of its capabilities to play Dvd Movies and all other types of Videos downloaded from the net. Any way many population out there are unaware of how to get the movies and videos to play on the Psp and many are left wondering How do I put Videos On My Psp. So below I will show exactly how to put Dvds and all other video types' videos on your Psp speedily and easily...

First of all if you intend to put videos on your Psp then you're going to need sufficient memory to store them. Most movies are colse to 400Mb, so I would recommend you grab a pretty big memory card if you want to store a couple. A 4Gb should be more than sufficient and you can pick one up for under 20 bucks these days.

PSP

Now in order to get your videos to play on the Psp you are going to have to turn them into Psp video format first before uploading them onto your memory card (You have to setup your memory card to store movies first, check the link below to learn how to do this...). The Psp uses the Mpeg-4 video format, so all your videos must be converted into Mp4 Format before uploading.

The easiest, most dependable and quickest way to turn files into Mpeg-4 would be to use a proper Psp Video Converter. These schedule are specifically designed to turn videos into Psp Video Format and they can do it all at the click of a few buttons.

There is a tasteless 3-step conversion formula for converting Dvd's but it is quite involved and time consuming, plus it requires any programs. First of all you have to decrypt the Dvd onto your hard drive, you need schedule for this. Then you got to turn the decrypted files into Avi format, other schedule is required, and then ultimately turn the avi files into Mpeg-4. Like I said it requires a lot of programs (some free while others cost a fair bit) and it can become quite annoying if you have a lot of movies to transfer.

If you wish to put other videos on your Psp then only a good Psp Video Converter can help you out, they turn all types of files along with Divx, Xvid, Avi, Mpeg, Flv etc... I would personally recommend Cucusoft Psp Video Converter Suite, it is very easy to use and free to download so you can start putting videos on your Psp Right now. (Check the link below to download)

Therefore if you were wondering How do I put Videos On My Psp then wonder no more as all you need is a good Psp Video converter and your all set. Although when seeing for a Converter, make sure you download one that allows you to turn Dvd's plus all other types of videos to Psp Video Format, One such schedule is Cucusoft Psp Video Converter Suite check it out below...

The second valuable is to have a computer handy which you can link to the Psp via a Usb cable. An internet relationship will be useful too, but is not valuable unless there are things you need to download.

1-Connect the computer and the Psp together, making sure that the Psp is switched off to begin with, and switch the Psp on once the relationship is made.

With this open you need to create someone else briefcase inside that one, this one called "Mp_Root" and then someone else one called "100mnv01"

4-Save the movies you want to watch in the briefcase "100mnv01" and then you are ready to rock! The movies can be started by clicking on the saved image inside the memory card. One thing to note though is that the movies need to be in Mp4 format (Google it), and if you want to convert your existing Dvds etc to this format you may want to get some specialized software.

How To Put Videos On Psp

There's not as a matter of fact a definitive way of how to put video on Psp, but there's a fast and easy way, and this is it. It's not rocket science, but Sony hasn't made putting video on a Psp as straightforward and straightforward a task as they should have done. But that doesn't mean it can't be simple. Here's how to do it...

You need a memory card with a lot of memory, unless you want to watch tiny dinky videos that might just fit onto the Psp's default 32Mb memory card. Videos are big files and they take up a lot of space; 32Mb doesn't go far. Go for half a gigabyte at least.

PSP

There's lots of places where you can get one. Amazon.com are good. Their SanDisk Sdmspd-512A10 512Mb Pro Duo memory stick is currently less than . Do a crusade on Amazon for it in the electronics category. If you don't have a Sony product, you'll need a Usb cable for the Psp. Again, Amazon have them and they're cheap. crusade for a Psp Usb Data Cable.

At this point it is assumed that you have passage to a computer connected to the Internet. Dialup might work, but you as a matter of fact need a high-speed connection. The good news for any Mac users is that this recipe works for you as well as for the Pc.

Ok, here we go...

With the Psp switched off, associate the Usb cable to the Psp and to the computer, then switch on the Psp. On the Psp access: Settings > Usb Connection. Next, press the X button to boot the Psp on to the computer, where it will appear on the desktop as an untitled volume. Inside the memory card you should see a folder named "Psp" and inside that folder there will be four sub-folders of, "Games", "Music", "Saveddata", and "Photo". You must add a new folder here named, "Mp_Root" (without the quotes) which must be in the same level as the "Psp" folder. Under the "Mp_Root" folder add a sub-folder named "100Mnv01" -- this is where your Mp4 videos and their accompanying thumbnail files (*.Thm) will be stored.

Now all you need to do is start downloading Mp4 videos. A crusade for "Mp4 videos" in Google in July of 2006 brought up 4,660,000 results, so there's plentifulness to pick from! Once you have your video(s) downloaded on to your Psp, go to Video > Memory Stick, and there you should see the thumbnail file of the video. To play the video, click on the thumbnail. You can passage the screen display modes via the triangle button. There are four to pick from. Now you know how to put videos on Psp, so enjoy your viewing!
